Yesterday I hit up MAC with my sister for some fun dramatic make overs, and we saw these 2 very young girls come in to buy stuff. When I say young, I don't mean 16 or 17, I mean around 10 or 11. They were both wearing eye make up! As in eye shadows and what not.
And in all honesty, it did not look good. It just made them look peculiar and very not-age-appropriate. I don't remember wearing make up around that age, except lip gloss. Also, nobody I knew bought anything from MAC! If we did buy any make up, it was the cheapy stuff from Wet N Wild and Bonnebelle.
For those who have kids around that age, do you allow them to wear make up on a daily basis? Or what age is it appropriate for girls to start wearing make up?

Is it possible that a skin product loses its efficacy after repetitive use or is it me?

Some products worked wonders on my skin but after months of usage twice a day I didn't notice anymore noticeable improvement/effect on my skin and I'm back to square one. Is it me or the products?

I have tried some soaps, scrubs and creams to help fight persistent acne scars on my face and other parts of my body. Here are some of these products:
- Rosance scrubing soap
- Aveeno brightening scrub (after buying 3 times, I suddenly became allergic)
- Rosance X-20 (aqua, glycyrrhiza glabra, aspergilus ferment, ethoxydiglycol, propylene glycol, reseda luteola, arctostaphylos, uva ursi, carum petroselinum, dimethicone copolyol, triethanolamine, 4-benzophenone, PPG-26 Buteth-26, PEG-40, hydrogenated castor oil, parfum, Xanthan Gum, EDTA, Sodium Metabisulfite, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazoline, Methylisothiazolinone, hydroxycitronellal)
- St-Yves scrub

I can also name some products that never worked for me since day one (Neutrogena non-oily cream, Neostrata...) but have proven to be a frustrating lost of money, time and energy.

One more question: are there any products on this earth offering permanent results? I'm afraid all the products on this planet are confected so that you have to buy them for the rest of your life.

It's depressing to think that someone will watch her show and think of her as a role model.
See what Brooke Hogan has to say about women running for political office.
You know what? I am actually not that much into voting. I think it's kinda crazy that a woman is running, because I think that women deal with a lot of emotions and menopause and PMS and stuff. Like, I'm so moody all the time, I know I couldn't be able to run a country, 'cause I'd be crying one day and yelling at people the next day, ya know?

Yes, Angelina Jolie is beautiful with her gorgeous pouty lips. But why must women like Lisa Rinna and countless others undergo hideous injections and implants to make their lips beyond pouty? They look worse than trout lips, they look like hemmorrhoids!!!
My latest subject: Kim Raver.
Kim Raver has a very narrow face with a small mouth to match it. Back on 24, she had thin, but proportional lips that matches her lips. On Lipstick Jungle? I cannot help but think how UGLY she looks now with hemmorrhoid lips!! Everything about her on the show is beautiful and gorgeous - her make up (love love love the black smokey look with a lighter highlight on the lids, topped with black liner on both top and bottom), her hair, and her clothes are just fierce. But dangggg, her lips?
If you've had lip injections done, or know someone personally whose had it done, why?!???? Do you like it? Or do you think these actresses go overboard with the injections?

Hi everybody! First of all, I just want to say I LOVE the Beauty Brains! I found ya'll just before I had my little boy in December. I was searching for information about Arbonne. (My sister-in-law sells the stuff and said it was "What God made for ME!") I guess everyone can tell I'm from the south, right in the middle of the bible belt! Anyway, I recieved all the Arbonne Baby line as a shower gift and I used every bit of it. It was good, but for the price I was having to pay to continue, my little boy now uses Aveeno. And can you believe it, it's just as good.

So, anyway....I wanted to start another disscussion on Post-Pregnancy Beauty. If you have had a baby, you know what I'm talking about!! My fisrt problem is......

1. During my pregnacy, I started getting a dark brown spot on my left cheek (face not booty...thats another problem!!) Does anyone have any recomendations for lighting this?? Or will it go away with time?? And remember, I have a newborn at home (this means I don't have lots of time or extra money!!)

2. What can I do about these strech marks?? They are everywhere....in places I didn't even know I had while I was pregnant!! AAUUUGGHHH!! Do creams really work of am I going to have to go to a professional? I stopped by a "spa" the other day and they told me I could have my strech marks removed as long as they were still pinkish/purple?? Is this true??

3. My hair is falling out!! Is this normal? I use Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner and I've never had this problem before. What's up??

4. And finally, does anyone have any suggestions to help me get "back in the swing of things"? I really do want to...."you know", but I can't seem to get over the fact that my body is just not the same. Will it ever get better??

Any suggestioins or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

I thought of a #5

5. How can I get more SLEEP????!!!!???? Talk about looking and feeling like HELL!! Getting 4 hours of sleep an hour at a time will do it!!!

And #6. Has anyone ever taken any kind of supplement to produce more breast milk??

I came across this handy tip via the Lifehacker Blog. I am kind of clueless about fragrance so this is probably old news to all.
Drop for drop, colognes and perfumes are some of the most expensive liquids around, and yet they can wear off before you step out your door. The TipNut blog suggests that moisturizing the area where you'll apply the strong stuff—like with petroleum jelly or any non-scented moisturizer—helps lock in its strength longer than spraying onto dry skin. Combine that with another hint that pulse points are a scent distributor, and your eau de toilette just might earn its keep for the night.
Here is the original link:
While I am on the subject of fragrance I posted several weeks ago that I bought some some bath and body products at Ulta. So far I have only been using the Citrus Cream Body Lotion. It IS very orange-y but not orange blossoms rather more like ORANGE LIFESAVERS. That isn't necessarily a bad thing since it makes me feel like a kid in grade school when I put it on in the morning. I haven't used the Orange Mimosa Shower Creme yet but it too is not a particularly sophisticated scent. What the heck neither of these items were expensive and they are sort of bargain aromatherapy.
