I suggest the following home remedies and basic dental care. Reduce coffee and red wine intake and reduce smoking. This is common sense and also good for your body. Try chewing raw vegetables , once a day . Raw vegetables are a healthy snack and they will also help in cleaning your teeth.

Tips To reduce Bad Breath

Keep your mouth clean. That means a thorough brushing twice a day and flossing regularly.

Clean your tongue, too. Bacteria left on your tongue can contribute to less-than-fresh breath.

Wet your whistle. A dry mouth can quickly cause bad breath. Saliva helps clean your mouth; it has a natural antibacterial action, and it washes away food particles.

Rinse. If nothing else, at least rinse your mouth with plain water after eating. Swishing the water around may help to remove some of the food particles left in the mouth after a meal and prevent bad breath from setting in.

Eat to smell sweet. Foods that help fight plaque may also help fight bad breath. Opt for celery, carrots, peanuts, or a bit of low-fat cheese if you want something to snack on.

Tinted Moisturizer with SPF

I was interested in trying a tinted moisturizer with spf in hopes that it would not settle in the fine lines under the eye like foundation does. I would like it to truly be moisturizing through the day without making my face look shiny and greasy, as well as, having spf in it. If there is a tinted moisturizer out there that really moisturizes but has a matte finish without emphasizing fine lines and also has spf then that would be great. If it has any anti-aging ingredients in it then that would be even better. Any recommendations from the beauty brains community? I have the common T-zone combination skin. No adult acne but I do get a lot of shine in the T-zone and moisturizer makes me glisten all the more.

Hiya,

I recently came across this site, and was a little perturbed by all the posts attacking the Beauty Brains over, well, everything. 'HOW DARE YOU TRY AND BLIND ME WITH SCIENCE! I KNOW THE TRUTH! MINERAL OIL IS FROM SATAN!' Etc. As a beauty fanatic, I've read my fair share of scare stories over the years - but now, I just go to this site here: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com

First things first. A lot (I'd say all) of the articles posted on there are bogus and scaremongering. Don't bother reading those. It's the incredible ingredients database they have which is worth getting to grips with. They list every single ingredient in use by the industry today, and give them safety ratings using a "traffic light" system.

RED means avoid at all costs.
YELLOW means it's fine in small doses - perhaps exercise a little caution if used heavily in a product.
GREEN means it's completely safe.

It's not just speculation, either - they provide links to huge amounts of study and research on every single ingredient. The last ingredient I looked at had links to 24 separate studies and papers from bodies like PubMed, FDA and other credible scientific sources.

I don't know. I swear by this site as determining whether ingredient scares are valid or not (best example is that mineral oil has actually been given a green light - The Brains are perfectly right when they say how good it is for you). I'm quite new here, so I'd love to know what the more seasoned members think of it? :)

Sorry for the wordy post! You'll be shocked to know I cut about 50% from this little essay, too. :P x

I've kept it on my desktop (computer), but I have accidentally erased it recently. I tried to download a new copy, but couldn't since I'm already "registered" somewhere. It' a bummer. People misplace and erase things all the time. And we expect to be able to download free stuff more than once.
While gold does not tarnish, as other precious metals might, it can still lose its lustre and discolour if not cleaned properly. The easiest way to clean gold jewellery is by using mild detergent, dissolved in water. Soak the jewellery briefly, then clean it well with a small brush. Be sure to get any dirt or oil build-up that has collected in creases or crevices of the jewellery. Then rinse well and polish with a soft cloth to be sure that there is no water or soap left on the gold.

Thoughts on the One Week Diet Cleanse

I've been on the One Week Diet Cleanse for 2 consecutive weeks now. I have 2 more to go until I run out of product.

If you're curious what I'm talking about... I bought the Gold Intensive Package from http://www.oneweekslimdown.com/

I've got to say so far I'm really really pleased with it. I lost 6 pounds the first week and another 4 pounds in the second. I eat less and it is easy and feels right, like healthy.

To give you an idea on how it works:
You mix the liquid concentrate with water and drink it once in the morning and again in the afternoon. It also helps you replace one meal of your choosing, either breakfast or lunch. Sometimes I am a little too hungry to replace an entire meal and I snack on some of the suggested foods in the manual such as raw almonds.

I really feel strongly about the product and it's effects on my body. It's a really simple gradual approach to weight loss without any harsh dieting, starvation or intense exercising. In fact, 30 minutes of mild walking a day is more than enough.

And on another note, not only have I lost weight, but my indigestion has gone completely... I've had it for years, now it's gone, I guess that is why the product is called "One Week Liquid Meal Replacement and Digestive Cleanse.

Has anybody else tried this product?

Ok...I'm willing to wade into this controversial area. As one who has reviewed products for this blog I enjoy doing it and enjoy reading other forum member's reviews.
Even when a review is written by one of the Beauty Brains themselves they are still personal opinions combined with scientific evaluation of whether a product CAN do what it claims to do.
In other words NO review is ever completely objective because the reviewers viewpoint always comes into play...that is why in the world of journalism we have OP/ED pages. And all good BLOGS are going to have a point of veiw...that's why we read them.
That said I think that because of the demand put upon bloggers for new content they often invite other writers to contribute to their blogs to keep them lively. With beauty/fashion blogs this often takes the form of reviews. The problem that can occur is that if the reviews begin to dominate the original POV of the blog begins to be lost. I have seen this happen with other blogs and then the blog becomes less appealing to me...or less different from other similar blogs.
So...I would have to say that I ALWAYS enjoy reading the BBs content on the front page with comments from readers and I am content with using the Forum to exchange info on productst. And just to be clear the BBs have far less review content than many blogs so they are not out of line here.
Please weigh in here...both BBs and Forum members.

We wanted to get a sense about a problem we've discovered about the Beauty Brains website. It is supposed to be a 3 column layout with the Beauty Brains banner at the top, the blog posts on the left side, and two small columns on the right side. When viewed through Firefox it looks correct. However, when viewed through Internet Explorer some people have reported that the entire right side is blank (or pink anyway). They have to go all the way to the bottom to see what's in the right columns. That's where things like the Beauty Science polls, categories and archives are located.
So, what say you Beauty Brains community, does the Beauty Brains website look right or not?
