I was going to pose this question to just the Brains, but then I thought someone here might know....

My Border Collie is miserable with skin problems. I think it's a food allergy, but I'm not 100% sure. She's stinky and dandruff-y, but I'm loathe to give her a bath with a dog shampoo that will only make her skin more itchy and dry. Soooo...

I joined a BC group on Yahoo, and one shampoo that was lauded highly by a groomer was EQyss MicroTek shampoo and itch spray for dogs. I looked up reviews for EQyss products and this came up first or second in Google:

Oh, I thought, this company makes products for dogs and horses. Interesting. And maybe humans? I then went to the Eqyss site and tried to find info on the shampoo and spray for my dog. What I read made me want to get it for her pronto.

Then I clicked on the Home button and looky there, "Great Benefits For Humans". So I clicked on that link and it goes to this flash page and loads in with an ad for their Mega Tek Cell Rebuilder for human hair. (and the most manic looking models I've ever seen :P). I don't know where this has been sold, but I've never seen it anywhere. I guess maybe I should start buying shampoo and conditioner at my local feed store...

According to the woman who reviewed Eqyss Mega Tek Cell Rebuilder from Epinions, her grandmother used it on her hair, and her horses hair. Both with stellar results. Then there's a interview with the EQyss company president and he says humans and animals should use the Premier shampoo first, the the Cell Rebuilder.

Hmm, odd that there's only one review for "human" use..The claims for the Eqyss Mega Tek Cell Rebuilder are hard to swallow. If it were that good at growing new hair that fast it would fly off the shelves.

But wait, I found other people, mostly dog breeders and horse people who used Eqyss products as well. And loved them. Only after an hour of this ass-nuggetry, I couldn't make heads or tails of anything. Who used what, why, how?...I DO know what I need for my dog, at least.

Brains, what exactly is it that is in these products that make them ok to use for humans? And which ones exactly can humans use? I was told human shampoo is not good for dogs because of the difference in pH. I know Mane and Tail shampoo is or was a horse shampoo. I still haven't found a complete list of ingredients, although lots of people keep saying they are "natural".

Anyone else here used the EQyss products for human use?
