Sensitive to Sorbitol.

For whatever reason, Sorbitol in a skin care product causes a seb-derm flare every time. Does not matter if 2nd or last ingredient on list. My question is... If sorbitol does that to my skin, will derivatives like "sorbitan stearate" have a similar affect?

  • It's really had to say. Since the sorbitol is tied up in ester form it may be less likely to interact with your skin. However, sometimes the fatty part of a molecule helps it penetrate skin better. If this happens and the ester breaks down then it could still cause problems.

Sorry I can't be more of more help.

  • Thank you for answering Randy, I really appreciate it :)
