Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Can a shampoo with the ingredient Cocamidopropyl Betaine be used as a clarifying shampoo? Or do you have to use a shampoo with sulfates in it to get rid of silicones?

Sulfates will generally work better than a shampoo with Cocamidopropyl Betaine alone so if you want a clarifying shampoo, sulfates are the way to go.
Whether you need sulfates to get rid of silicones depends on the type of silicone you are asking about. For Dimethicone and Amodimethicone = yes. For Dimethicone Copolyol or Cyclomethicone = no.
