I'm researching for a blog post explaining how using only facial oils without moisturizer can cause damage due to low-level inflammation over time, since the majority of facial oils contain fatty acids and lack other lipids.
I googled ceramides in oils and am a bit confused now. I see linoleic acid being used to explain the composition of ceramides AND fatty acids. You'll find many bloggers referencing this list when talking about oils with ceramides (mostly natural hair bloggers):https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linoleic_acid
Is this correct? How would you explain the composition of ceramides vs. fatty acids?
Hopefully I'm making sense, ha!
