spray in haircolors
  • This is probably the silliest question ever, but here goes. I am going to be Erin Esurance for halloween. www.esurance.com

My new haircut is pretty close to hers, but definitely not pink. I was going to order a wig, there is a very cute one it is perfect, but have recently had thoughts of buying the spray in haircolor in a pink color. Does anyone think this is a good idea? BTW I just had my hair colored a lovely shade of red.

Clearly I have a lot of spare time if I am asking about this :)
  • I never heard of Erin Esurance until I followed your link. She's a doll! Love her pink hair, matching lipstick, skin-tight outfits, and cat eyes. You should have a lot of fun with all that!

I used that spray-in hair color a few years ago to be Cruella deVille. I needed the white streak. It worked pretty well but it made my hair feel like straw in the area I sprayed it. Once I washed it out, it was gone, thankfully, but the texture was nasty when it was in so just a warning. I think you'd have to experiment with it first to see if you could get the coverage you need. It would beat a wig in terms of comfort (those can really get hot) but the wig would also give you perfect hair.

Good luck! If you can, take a picture at your party and then definitely post (when you get that figured out ). We'd all love to see it!
  • I would think the smell would be yucky after a whole night of partying if you're doing your whole head. Maybe you can just do some streaks (ala chunky highlights) toward the front?

and Erin Esurance is adorable! I love watching the commercials.. HEEHEE..
  • I sprayed my whole head for Halloween once and it smelled like hairspray and silly string. It was sticky too, I mean it wasn't awful, but when I started sweating the color started to bleed and ended up wherever it touched.

You'd have to rinse it out after the night too- so as not to ruin your pillow.

AND it took me a weeks worth of washes for the color to leave completely.

Since you're a redhead it wouldn't look that extreme to have a little pink left I suppose...
  • so I think I'll just buy the wig. Thanks for all the help! The first party is next weekend Oct 20th so I'm going to place the order. and after I am done with the wig I'll donate it to my aunt who is a Jazzercise instructor and LOVES wigs!:rasta:
