oil soluble silicones

I believe all silicones are oil-soluble. As far as I know, oils are non-polar and silicones dissolve best in non-polar materials. http://www.snowdriftfarm.com/silicone_use.html

That's not exactly true. Some silicones are slightly soluble in oil but most are not. Silicones represent a third class of ingredient. oil, water, silicone

To me, silicones are synonym with Dimethicone and Cyclomethicone. But those are actually silicone oils...
