They ran out of topics on my local news tonight and I caught the tail end of an interview w/ someone who sounded like she had an axe to grind, supposed expert, discussing the dangers of lip glosses and ingredients in cosmetic products in general. One of them was accurate, and that is limonene (or linalool?) being a potential allergen/irritant. They also mention pthalates and parabens. They did some scare tactics interviews with innocent victims, convincing them to throw away their lipstick because it causes cancer.
Did you check out the quackwatch site? I noticed they've broken it down into different special interest sites; this one would interest Jami...http://www.dietscam.org/
I think they recently changed it. The articles aren't necessarily new, but they've divided up the site to make it more manageable. BTW, my favorite part of the quackwatch site is the "jeers" section. He really makes crazies come out of the woodwork by challenging quack theories and methods. http://www.quackwatch.org/00AboutQuackwatch/comments.html#jeers
