I get bumps on the backs of my thighs. Often they seem to be ingrown hairs or dead skin, but I haven't figured out how to stop them. I have tried shaving less, not shaving at all, and shaving frequently, and none of them did anything. (As a side note, in high school I had a friend with a similar problem on her upper arms, so I'm guessing it's not shaving-related.) I do use lotion, but can't use it that often because of skin sensitivities.
Any ideas on what is going on or possible solutions? Thanks!
Have you tried exfoliating? Some others on the forum have a very common, harmless skin condition called keratosis pilaris. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/keratosis-pilaris/DS00769 It causes bumps on the upper arms and thighs. Your best bet, though, is to ask a dermatologist to look at it and give you a diagnosis.
