Scalp Moisturizers/Conditioners
  • Hey ladies, I was just curious if anyone has any suggestions for dry scalp....no dandruff, just itching lately AND I am back to washing my hair every 3 days now.

    Thanks!
  • When I was in CVS this evening, I saw Neutrogena Triple Moisture Dry Scalp Soothing Shampoo. I don't know if it's new or if I just noticed it because I had read your post earlier.
  • oooh I'll check it out PR thanks. As far as being new-- it is formerly Neutrogena Triple Moisture Active Soothing Shampoo. AND most of the reviews I read seem positive.

I was searching for something for it today and I came across Emu Oil. I wonder has anyone used it? FROM what I have read it is VERY soothing and VERY versitile AND somewhat expensive. I had never heard of it before. AND if I can avoid spending $24 on 4oz, I may just check out the Neutrogena.
  • Has anyone tried "Everclean" from "Home Health?" I have dry scalp, itching, some flaking. In general, I've found regular dandruff shampoos don't do anything. esp. ones with perfumes.

This one contains salicylic acid, Aloe, Allantoin and herb extracts. I haven't used it for long, but It's very soothing. I got it recommended at Whole Foods.
  • Cate,

I recently tried Selsun blue Naturals for itchy dry scalp. Not only did it work for dry scalp, but left my hair really nice. I would never have tried it except for the fact my doctor told me to shampoo with either Head & Shoulders or Selsun blue for dry skin on my ears. If you just have an small isolated area that itches, Scalpicin works well.
