I read Anonymous Blonde's review on the Perricone hydrating mask.
I am not sure what the directions said, but for any product to help the skin with dryness, it needs to be exfoliated first. A mask alone will not help dryness.
This is like your hands in the dry, winter weather. You can apply all the hand creams you like, but unless you exfoliate the dead, dry skin, the creams will not work.
Now I am not saying that if you exfoliate before using this product that it will do what it claims, but as a rule, this is how skin care works.
This is what I found on the product:
Product Description
A hydrating treatment mask enriched with Olive Oil Polyphenols and Hydroxytyrosol. Helps in delivering instant and long term hydration to the skin. Assists in reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Protects against dehydration. Enhances skin elasticity and suppleness.
The words that I read are: HELPS; ASSISTS; PROTECTS; ENHANCES. Buzz words that make consumers want to buy the product.
If you do exfoliate, use a good one. That does not mean it needs sandy granules to work. Then your masks and moisturizers will work for you.
buenos dias,

In looking at the description of what the Perricone hydrating mask was supposed to do I had to laugh: HELPS in delivering INSTANT and LONG TERM hydration...surely an OVERSTATEMENT if not a STRETCHING of the truth but we Brainiacs try to read through the burble of cosmetic claims and take these claims with a grain or two or three of salt.
Again, I think the Perricone products are Wayyyyyyy overpriced for average cosmeceuticals.
