Just how does this soap contribute to skincare? Does it help to aid skin problems as efficiently as people claim? Is it worth all that ranting and raving about?
They say it has a lot of shea butter. I've read a lot of raves too, but I didn't try this. I've also read a lot of review saying this dried their skin a lot. I'd just stick to other soaps coz this is expensive to import and try in my country.
I actually make soap and have made black soap before. Traditionally, it's not even a soap. It's made with either cocoa pods and/or plantain skins along with high amounts of unrefined shea butter, cocoa butter and palm oil. Some people in the US import it and then incorporate it into a soap recipe, but traditional black soap is not actually "soap."
It's not very pricey, and many people swear by it! Personally, I think it's the unrefined shea butter that has a lot of skin benefits.
