Remember the article Beauty Brains published on addiction to lip balm? I was wondering if that applies to hand cream as well. I use it as my hands get very dry after washing, but my sister insists it's all due to me starting using hand cream since I was a teenager. She doesn't use it and her hands fell fine and look good. What do you guys think? I can't go a day without hand cream, it just feels so uncomfortable.
I wash my hands a lot, and I need to apply hand-cream. And if I don't everytime, at least most of them.
Maybe your sister's complex is quite different.
Personally, I see nothing wrong with too much application of hand cream/lotion. As long as the products are good and can help in taking good care of the hands.
lindygirl is so right...there could definitely be worse things you could be addicted to! Especially now that it's getting colder and your hands get dry so easily. I read in the Skin First Manifesto by Eucerin that frequent application of hand cream not only keeps your hands looking healthy, but moisturized skin helps mitigate the risk for bacterial, viral and fungal infections. So I say this is probably a healthy addiction to have! I work with Eucerin so I've been loving the Plus Intensive Repair Hand Creme. I keep a tube on my desk at work, in my bathroom and in my purse so I always have some near me. How much lotion/cream do you have handy in the winter?
the question was raised before it was winter. so not really applicable. anyway, i have a tube of avon glycerin hand cream and a bottle of ikea body lotion on my desk, a body butter on my night stand and some average body cream in my bag. always with hand cream around me :) and i don't usual use 'hand' cream on my hands, just any moisturiser. this avon cream is pretty great though. and i got it with free delivery, 3 for £4, which is a sweet deal since just one is £4.50 usually
