I love the nexus products. I really love the conditioner Humectress..... but to me it's a bit costly. Does anyone know a site where I can order my own chemicals to make my own conditioners & shampoos.
Signed I want to save money and maybe make some!
If you are looking to make an "Awesome" home made conditioner you may be disappointed, the raw materials are kinda pricey unless you buy very large amounts for making retail products.
Yeah, it would be expensive to do on your own. Better is to try some other brands to see if you find something you like. It is interesting to note that Tresemme and Nexxus are produced by the same company.
Actually, Alberto-Culver purchased TRESEMMÉ® and more recently NEXXUS® they have been in the professional haircare business for decades with different brands most notably VO5®. Although it is the new 'Parent Company' for NEXXUS® the brand has it's own headquarters and manufacturing plant and the formulas are still quite unique.
BJs also carries some Nexxus... They also have coupons :o ! and I have heard of people say good things about lotioncrafters but I have NOT made a purchase from them so can not give good/bad feedback
Even tougher, a lot of the raw materials are non-existent until you can afford barrels, or thousands of kilograms for a minimum buy. Siloxane, sodium benzoate, a lot of surfactants *whine*.
In better news, making cosmetics has some great deals, and so do several other sources, they're just the only one I've tried, and I've heard good things about lotioncrafters too. I'm hoping to eventually sell, or at least incorporate things I can make when I'm healthy enough to do bodywork again, but you can manage to save at the very least, for most things.
Making Cosmetics also has most of the above mentioned hard to get things, but in bulk, starting with over $1,000 kinds of buys - no help to most of us ! but it's nice that they make it more available than thousands of kilograms. If anyone knows of ways to get a better deal on ingredients, please let me know.
