So I have been talking to a girl with gorgeous waist long hair and her advice for growing such long hair was not to give in into the lie on regular trims. She's gone 1.5 years without a trim now, she has black hair, she's Singaporean, and she bleaches is platinum blonde, so you can imagine what damage her hair suffers, but it still looks quite healthy. She also uses heat on her hair almost everyday. Do you think this would actually work for the rest of us?
I dunno. I always trimmed, meaning just dusting the ends, to get rid of splits when my hair was waist length. If you do not trim splits they will travel up the hair shaft, or so I was always told. I have seen so many people with super long hair that would look SO much better with some of the length cut off because if you do not keep it trimmed it tends to get scraggly. But that is just my opinion.
I go in every 5 weeks now. My hair is well below my shoulders.
