Is SKII for real?

    I have seen those advertisements with Cate Blanchett endorsing SKII. The website claims that an ingredient called Pitera does all kind of magical things. Cate seems like the kind of celebrity who wouldn't endorse something she didn't really believe in, especially considering her skin is famous. Is there any legitimacy to the claims made by SKII?

    SKII is a serious Japanese brand but it's not different from any other when it comes to magical claims. their products are very well formulated but Pitera claims? Hm...
