So I just bought the No no hair remover at Sephora. The only way I could justify this purchase was that my friend gave me a gift certificate for Christmas, but I was still a little floored by the price. Anyway, has anyone else tried it? What do you think about it?
I've never used it, but I'm very intrigued by it (the price is the only thing holding me back from getting one...) The no no & that zeno for zits both actually, I'd love to try out (but so $$$$$). Have you used your no no yet? I'm very curious to hear about it...
Ok, I tried the nono last night! I think it is one of those gadgets that you actually have to use long term to really assess its utility. It certainly is no substitute for shaving, since it didn't remove a majority of the stubble (although my hair is quite fine, so that might've been part of the problem). The thing that I'm pretty impressed with is that you can just plow past that bikini line without a single bump, nick, or ingrown hair the following morning. Since I'm going on vacation soon, I needed that area to be swimmingsuit-ready.
Now the idea with this device is that, after using it for a while, the hair grows in "less densely". This would be quite nice eventually, but in the meanwhile, people who are more self-conscious than me would probably still want to shave, since it really doesn't remove all the hair. But I am overall happy with it. And it was completely painless! For the bikini line, that is a must.
So the main problem with this thing, I think, is the price. As I said, I had a gift certificate that my friend gets from Sephora with whatever bank he uses (nice christmas gift, no?). So this thing only cost me $50, and I think that is about right. But if you are paying full price, well, I don't know if it's really worth the money. For just your legs, it seems like you're better off just waxing, honestly. But if, like me, you spend a good proportion of your vacation in a bikini, well, then this is actually a lot better than waxing. I always get ingrown hairs right along my bikini line, no matter what I do, so this gadget might really help out with that.
It says not to use it on your face, but my thought was just how great it would be for men who get ingrown hairs on their chins and hate shaving!
I bought one! It's supposed to arrive on the 9th of this month. I'll let y'all know how it goes. I have dark hair, and lots of it, and I hate to shave and wax, so I jumped on this bandwagon as fast as my pocketbook would allow.
