Aquaphor for Lips
  • I have had a terrible time trying to find a product that would heal my dry, chapped lips. I have bought several different kinds of chapsticks, lip balms and glosses over the past few months. I was starting to believe there wasn't a solution.

I recently read The Beauty Brains blog post called "The World's Top 5 Skin Moisturizing Oils" and thought ok, I just need some petroleum jelly.

I had a tube of Eucerin Aquaphor in the house, so I put it on my lips overnight, and in the morning right after getting out of the shower. I am shocked at the success! My lips are finally starting to heal! Who would of thought it could be so simple?! This is definitely the best products I've used for lip care so far.

I don't understand why products made specifically for lip care don't work!! Anyone know of any other products that work as well?
  • I was at my dermatologist the other day and I told him I was experiencing really dry, chapped lips and he actually recommended Aquaphor. He said he would write me a prescription if I wanted, but I told him I would try the Aquaphor and it worked for me, too.
  • My lips aren't actually chapped, just dry.  But I like Aveda lip saver.  It seems to last longer than the others and nothing moisturizes my lips as well.  It has wax in it, not sure if that helps it stay on the lips better than some others.  As a bonus, it contains some sun protection.  It's a little on the pricey side but I only replace it once a year or so I think.
