  • The short answer: No.  Nothing you put on your skin will remove toxins.  The only ways your body removes toxins is internally, through the liver, kidneys, and spleen.

If you want to minimize your pores, your options are: 1) keep them cleaned out, and 2) increase your rate of cell proliferation and elasticity, to squeeze them shut.

Acne(dot)org has some great boards where people discuss the pore problem - lots of people swear by oil cleansing - using a simple oil (such as jojoba or olive oil) first, massaging it in gently... followed by your normal leaning regimen.  This works since 2 things can dissolve oil: detergents (which can dry the skin) and other oils.  After cleansing, be sure to moisturize lightly.

As regards to aiding cell proliferation, the cheapest of these is allantoin, which you can find in lots of skincare products, since it's not expensive.  It's  the active ingredient in comfrey, an herb that's well-known for healing. Silica is also good for improving skin tone/ elasticity; there have been a number of tests proving this (google.)  I would suggest trying BioSil  (or similar product) for bio-available silica.  Again, google it online and see what you think.
