I would go with your dermatologist's recommendation. We don't know what kind of sun spots you have (there are lots of different kinds--some can even be pre-cancerous and should be watched by a dermatologist), so a doctor should help you with the decision about your treatment/removal. As far as wrinkles, to my knowledge, they do respond to fraxel laser, which is very expensive (and like any laser, should be done by someone well qualified).
Skin bleaches, btw, are always very slow to work (months) and require daily use of a broad spectrum sunscreen with spf 30 or higher to work.
Hi Diane,
I'm sorry you had that experience. Did you have a large area treated with liquid nitrogen? The only caution I have about telling readers not to ever let a doctor do it is kind of along the lines of "never say never." I had small lesions frozen off by a doctor (on my face) with virtually no healing time and no permanent skin changes whatsoever. My skin looked normal within a week. So it may be okay to let a doctor do it sometimes, just be sure to ask what the side effects might be if you're having a big area done.
