Do it yourself gel and acrylics kits
  • There have come on the marked several do it yourself gel and acrylics kits. Ranging in pieces but normally being 100 to 150 dollars, are there any point in getting such a kit? I am rather crafty and I do nail art on my own nails, so I think I should be able to at least hack something together, but are the quality of the products good enough. I can buy hell of a good product to strengten my natrual nail for 100 dollars so are the do it yourself kits worth anything?
  • There are a lot of drugstore options out there for like $5-10. I've never tried them, but I am curious to know how they would be different?
  • Pretty Claws,
I am not sure of the kits you have found, but there are many good ones out there. If you dig deep enough, you can get kits for way less than your quotes.
Just be sure to follow the directions. I will tell you, it is not as easy as it looks to do nails. Prepare yourself for torn cuticle areas from your buffing to make the nails look good.
Before I went to school to get licensed, I purchased just about every kit out there and my nails were less than mediocre!! lol
(I would have answered this post sooner, but I was in the hospital for surgery and have been busy trying to get things back on track!)
Good luck with whatever system you get. I suggest the gel with a UV cure.
    buenos dias,
