Natural ways of Darkening your hair colour.
  • I heard about the nut leaves which will give your hair a dark-red highlight, but i was wondering about something for brown hair ,turning it into a more darker one? ;;)
  • I read something about henna, that is used in India I believe, to dye hair. It is said that henna can't lighten your hair, but can darken your hair and leaves a reddish hue and also strengthens your hair or something like is beneficial for hair. I don't know much about this, but you might want to try Google it a bit.
  • The cosmetic company Lush makes natural henna-based products to color hair, and they are made only from plant materials. They come in four shades, and the darkest are Caca Noir Mama (almost black) and Caca Brun Mama (dark brown).  The Lush  website describes the products, and there are reviews on Makeup Alley and maybe on Amazon. I tested Brun on a hair sample, and it turned my medium brown and grey hair a very dark brown with no red. To get the product, I had to order it from the website. Because it was the wrong color for me, Lush let me return the unused portion.

  • Henna is your best bet. The other natural ingredients that stain hair, like tea and coffee, don't really impart that much color. Just beware of henna that has other dyes mixed in with it.
