This is complete and utter nonsense!
The people responsible for the "top secret fat loss" website should be in prison.
You can see a thorough debunking of this old scam over at Quackwatch.
This quote is particularly scary.
"Colonic irrigation, which also can be expensive, has considerable potential for harm. The process can be very uncomfortable, since the presence of the tube can induce severe cramps and pain. If the equipment is not adequately sterilized between treatments, disease germs from one person's large intestine can be transmitted to others. Several outbreaks of serious infections have been reported, including one in which contaminated equipment caused amebiasis in 36 people, 6 of whom died following bowel perforation [7-9]"
It makes me sad that well-meaning people in the world are taken in by reprobates like these. Please be vigilant and aware that there are scammers in the world who only care about taking your money from you. They don't even care if you get harmed in the process.
You want to know the real "secret" to weight loss.
Eat real food, not too much and exercise more.
And I won't even charge you $57 for that secret. It's free here on the Beauty Brains forum.
Oh, god!!! I can't belive some people can actually be led to believe that "critters" are the problem
There so much BS in the weight loss and Fitness industry, I can collect hundreds of BS stories, diet pills and such are ususally the worst, it really makes me upset
AS Left Brain said, there's no real secret: burn more than you consume, simple math, thta's is not that simple to achieve if you don't write it down.
I will add a piece of advice, not sure if it's a secret: find your "happy weight"!!!
Everyobdy is built different, and within a healthy weight, some number on the scale may not be achievable for some people, unless you want to be contantly famished, and which will make you bithcy
It worked like magic with a lot of my clients, and is usually about 5 pounds more than the weight most woman want, but lit's healthy and let's you eat dessert!! In my experince it tends to change people's perpective about weight loss and how much they need to loose, or how they actually don't need to loose weight. I try to stay away from weight loss advice if I am not asked, and I am no RD, so don't like to say to much.
If anyone is interested I can find the "happy weight" formula, which of course has it's exceptions
actually I am impressed by the actual parasite pictures there are, pretty good ones, I may have to share this link with my lab, they are going to crack
funny that the parasite life cycle she choses to show actually lives in your lungs
I haven't clicked the link yet and now I don't think I will... parasites? critters? colonic irrigation? This isn't the tape worm weight loss method is it?
Fitness Brain, I know what you mean by "happy weight". Once I gave up on losing that last 5 pounds, life got much better. I never had a problem getting the weight off, but I couldn't keep it off without being constantly hungry. It just wasn't worth it.
I am at a "happy weight" right now...and it is not for losing weight...it's for gaining some! When I graduated from HS in 1994 I didn't weight much more than 100lbs and at the end of the summer I moved out of my parents house to be a live-in nanny over an hour away and in the first 6 months that I was there I dropped 15 - 20 lbs due to the stress of being out of my parents house, the responsibility of taking care of 2 young children, and school on top of it all....That was 14 years ago and I have finally gained enough weight to shop in the grown-up stores! It's REALLY nice to weatr clothes that fit :)
I try to get at least 45 minutes in on the elliptical machine at a high incline and resistance if I can for both leg strength and cardio. I know I should do more weights..... I have gained 60 pounds and my doctors can't explain why since my diet didn't change and I didn't change my activity level and can't seem to lose it. I think it must be hormonal or an illness causing the weight which has mostly stabilized by now and is strangely and tellingly ONLY gained in my abdomen area and NOWHERE else. My arms, legs and face look exactly the same after gaining 60 lbs which I find troubling.
teddyp,
Maybe you should check with another doctor? But skinny doesn't always equal healthy. It sounds like you're getting enough exercise to be healthy. Could be that you're at the weight you've been genetically programed to be at.
