In a fragrance, can "parfum" be natural?
  • I was looking at the Burt's Bees website, reading about a solid perfume called "Naturally Fresh," and another called "Naturally Happy." They helpfully list the ingredients. All but one seeem to be some kind of plant wax or oil or something. It also lists "fragrance (parfum)."

What does fragrance (parfum) mean? I am interested in knowing if it is synthetic or not. Is there a way, looking at a product or ingredient list, to tell if fragrance (parfum) is synthetic or natural?

And, does anyone have an opinion about these Burt's Bees solid perfumes?
