Facial Cleansing Cloths
  • I use baby oil on a cotton pad to remove makeup, but was thinking of trying facial cleansing cloths. Does anyone use facial cleansing cloths to remove makeup, and what's your opinion of this makeup removal method?
  • (For full disclosure I am a Mary Kay rep---)  I do like MK's facial cloths.  I use them when I travel because they are soooo easy to tote around (especially camping).  I'm sure others can chime in with other brands---but I think they are greatly convenient.

  • I don't use facial cleansing cloths myself but I do recall reading that makeup artists actually recommend using fragrance free baby wipes to remove makeup. Might be worth a try.

I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil to remove my makeup.
    :)
  • Coastiewife, you handled that recommendation so skillfully compared with other reps of different brands we've had here--very refreshing.to see someone disclose and recommend without pushing a product.

As far as facial cloths--I have sensitive skin and something in these (various different brands) irritates my skin like crazy.  BUT--before my skin was sensitive, I could use them.  I actually had amazingly NOT sensitive skin (could rub a towel across my face with no redness) until I suddenly became sensitive (rosacea).

  • Thank you Sarahf!  That means a lot to me.  I enjoy reading your posts BTW---

  • I really like Johnsons facial cloths for dry/sensitive skin. In the UK they come in a pink wrapper. They take off all my make up and leave my skin nicely moisturised too. Love them!
  • i use to use the olay ones they left my face smooth but I have very oily skin and I had an amazing glow too.
  • I've tried few different brands but I was never 100% happy with them - I've always found it much easier and effective to use cotton pad and cleansing milk. One day I run out of my Garniers cleansing milk and was forced to wash my face  just with Effaclar (La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Gel). I couldn't believe that it took  off all of my make up (including mascara). Now I always use only that and I love it ! So easy!  Sorry I couldnt help you with choice of facial cleansing cloths -  I just didn't like them to much....
  • kaia bamboo facial clothes are a natural alternative that are good for makeup removal and overall toning of your skin.
