Mascara and flaking

    Every mascara flakes on me. I even see it flaking on me the day that I buy it. There is always black flakes that end up on my face. Am I just not applying the mascara correctly? I only apply one layer and apply it from base to tip. Anyone else have this problem?

    After I got to be a 'certain age' I stopped using mascara on the lower lashes. That helps the problem a lot. Or it did for me. I didn't think it would look right, but I had read the same opinion from several makeup artists and gave it a try.

    you could try makeup sealants like benefit she laq. http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=837/She_Laq/BeneFit/Eyes it's discontinued, but maybe you can find it in CCOs or online. i've seen it few months back on one of those discount cosmetics websites. it seals any makeup, so i'd think it would prevent mascara from flaking? not sure though. other brand have similar products, best to look in a stage makeup shop.
