Take this FWIW because I'm just going on memory--my recollection is that what is referred to as cellulite is really just the puckering you get in areas where you naturally have body fat. It's a property of the fat itself, rather than a separate entity. It's perfectly normal to have some cellulite, just as it's necessary and normal for us as females and as humans to have some body fat. So my best guess is that if you are not significantly overweight, the best you can do about it is to either accept it as normal, or tone the muscles in those areas to add some smoothness.
I was not aware of the retinol treatment either - thanks for that article.
For me self tanner certainly helps mask the cellulite (I'm very pale) but I kept hearing that regular massage and skin brushing helped as well. I just am not prepared to drop hundreds of dollars a month on a standing massage appointment.
I will keep using the skin brush because it exfoliates well.
Yeah, it tends to be more visible in women who are very pale. One thing I'm guessing the retinol may do is to help the skin function optimally so it holds things in place more? IDK. I liked how they said in the article though that 8 out of 10 women have it--so it's pretty normal. We see these airbrushed models' photos and it makes us crazy...
