Dear, will you guide us what is the best substitute of Glycerin in Facial Creams/ Moisturizers/ body lotions as it is too greasy to apply? What is the best thickner we can use for Hair Shampoos?
You can use another humectant like sorbitol, sodium lactate or sodium pca which are less sticky.
You can use gums to thicken surfactants but it can be tricky so perhaps its better to go with glucamate LT or liquid crothix and/or salt (but read about the salt curve first). Some essential oils such as lavender also thicken (but beware that some EOs/FOs also thin out surfactants). Personally, I've found liquid crothix the easiest to use.
