My hair is shoulder-length, permed, thin, fine, dry, and frizzy. I want to diffuse it into soft loose curls. I have to wash it every day because I work out. What products or procedures do you suggest? I'm not in love with my shampoo, conditioner, or styling products.
My friend recommended this curling cream from SAMY, which could be bought at Target and other drugstores. I liked it when I had my perm.
Conditioner wise, only the thickest of the thickest conditioner would work for me. I used this line called Prive (which was reviewed earlier on the main site), which totally helped, but it was super duper expensive.
And I never dried my hair, which was sorta my whole reasoning for getting a perm in the first place. I just wanted to wash my hair and go, without having to style my hair!
My suggestion would be to not put any heat on it. Deep condition weekly. Try to shampoo at least every other day, you might be drying out your hair by shampooing so much. Try a baby shampoo because it might be more gentle. When I had a perm I loved the Biolage line. They have this conditioner that comes in a little tub its great, I'm using it right now. Its from the Matrix line. The conditioner is called Hydratherapy conditioning balm. Also try conditioning with olive oil at least once a week. Just let it sit for 15 minutes and rinse off. Good luck !
