Professionally dyed blonde hair. Ready to go back to natural color, but can't afford the salon.

    Would it be a total disaster for me to try to go back to light brown at home? I just can't spend another $200 on my hair right now. I've been blonde for about a year now. While it looks fabulous, I'm just ready to be a brunette again. Any tips?

    If your hair is currently dyed blond and you want to dye it light brown, do not just apply light brown dye to your  hair.        If you do, your hair will turn a dark greenish blond.

    Why not find a less expensive salon or check out local beauty schools, which are even cheaper, and get a stylist to dye your hair properly.

    Once you get the light brown colour you like, you can do the upkeep yourself.
