i know that using heat tools is not good for your hair but if i were to use, should I invest in reallllly expensive tools that claim to reduce damage on my hair for example : should i choose normal curling irons at drugstore that is realllly hot ; or should I buy those ceramic or tourmaline ones that claim to have new technology that is not so damaging to the hair is it true that those tourmaline give us better curls and protect our hair more ?
Technologies
Ceramic
Heats up instantly and maintains consistent temperatures, eliminating damaging hot spots. Creates smooth, silky curls.
Tourmaline
Emits negative ions and infrared energy to condition the hair while styling. Delivers healthy, shiny, curls without damage.
Not a Brain, but from what little I know about it heat = damage. When you use heat to style your hair you get damage. Using a dryer damages your hair. Using a flat iron damages your hair. Using curling irons damages your hair. You can use heat protectant sprays to minimize the damage but, basically, you can take the most expensive dryer, flat iron or curling iron in the world and ruin your hair with it. Just because the styling tool is expensive doesn't mean you can use it and have absolutely no damage. If used properly you will get less damage, but heat styling is something you shouldn't be doing all the time regardless of the tools used.
I hope the Brains chime in. I would love to hear their take on this.
