After shampooing my hair I usually use a washcloth to absorb some of the extra moisture from my hair before puting on conditioner. Does it make a difference how "wet" your hair is when putting on conditioner? Will it make a difference how well the conditioner works?
It would be nice to know how conditioners work best. I just saw on youtube the other day a stylist (I guess that is what she was) say silicones should be used on dry hair and not wet hair to better prevent frizz. I had never heard that before. Your question made me think of her video due to the fact that I have learned from the Fantastic Beauty Brains that silicones are great conditioners to the hair. Since conditions coat the hair (from what I understand) it would be interesting to find out if they do a better job of coating the hair when the hair is wet, damp or dry.
I think these are great questions regarding the use of conditioners and silicones. I am never sure if I should apply a silicon serum while my hair is wet, dry or does it really matter. Hopefully the Beauty Brains can weigh in on this one.
