Good question. I have read reviews that say the $30 version is pretty good! I don't use either myself so I cannot say. Hope someone else has the answer for you. :)
clarisonic claim that their unique oscillation technology sets them apart from the rest of face brushes. I fell for it and got one for christmas, and I love it. We recently moved so I haven't used mine for 3 days and it was evident my skin needs my clarisonic :) i haven't tried any other face brushes, but I guess as long as they are not rough on your skin and can get into all the crevices - they're just as good.
anyone tried the prosonic? it has the same oscillation technology and actually comes with a kit right now on groupon...it's a cheaper alternative that has mostly positive reviews. It's worth a shot.
I used to have the wave by neutrogena (?), however after a few months of using it, I noticed that the soap in the foaming pads were very harsh and drying to my skin. It exacerbated the red, rough patch on my cheek, so I decided to get a clarisonic. While the brushheads and initial brush base are a bit expensive, I find that my skin is much softer after using it. (I use the sensitive skin brush, but brushes range from delicate to almost sandpaper like quality). Of course, I should probably take into account that when switching to the clarisonic, I switched to a gentler cleanser than what was prepackaged in the Wave pads, but I find that the brush action resurfaces my skin and gives you a nice massage (which reduces stress that probably also helps your face.) Anyways, hope that gives some insight :)
Thanks honeybee for the insight. I am building a case if you will to purchase a clarisonic. :-* . I want to have backup when my man asks me how much I spent on it lol
