Has anyone heard of washing your hair with baking soda and water or apple cider vinegar? I swear the apple cider vinegar has got me sprouting new hairs. I have a serious case of telogen effluvium-diffuse.
This is actually a pretty common practice. A lot of people swear apple cider vinegar is good for their hair although we've never seen any science to support that.
Maybe for some people who are having problems with regular shampoo, like itchy dry scalp and bumps. Some people just are very allergic to the ingredients even ones for flakes.
I'm not very well versed in the science of it but in the hair care community apple cider vinegar is well known for it's benefits. I forgot the term but it's supposed to bind with metals in the water you shower with and therefore get rid of scalp build up, therefore improving the health of your scalp.
