How can I get rid of bed head?
  • How can you get rid of bedhead when you slept on wet hair?
  • You can spritz your hair with water and either dry it with a dryer or, if it has waves and curls, scrunch it back into shape.
  • My Stylist informed me to sleep on a silk pillowcase and you will not have bedhead.

Nonetheless I don't ever have bedhead!

  • I agree Kaitlin. If you go to bed with dry hair, sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcase will definitely let you wake up with smoother hair, less frizz and less bed head. But if you go to bed with wet hair you might need to dampen it by spritzing with water and coax it into shape.
  • What do you think of this product? http://morninghead.com/
  • It's O.K., but it's just as easy (and cheaper) to spray water on hair in the morning.
  • Actually this Morning Head product does make it easier to get the right amount of water on your head. But it's missing a very important point: You need quite a bit of water to wet your hair well enough to reset the hydrogen bonds that cause bed head as you sleep. A little bit of mild surfactant can do the same thing without getting your hair as wet. Tresemme Fresh Start Waterless Foam works really well in this regard.
  • Thanks for the great product suggestion beauty brains!
  • if so much effort is required might as well dry the hair before bed and deal with less 'bed hair' situation in the morning. That's what I do :) and also wet hair makes me very cold so a no no in autumn/winter times
