What are your thoughts on this "living doll" beauty trend?
  • I find it disturbing. There would have to be deep seated insecurities to want to alter one's appearance so drastically.

One of the girls wakes up HOURS ahead of time just to put on her makeup. Hiding behind your makeup (i.e. putting your 'face' on before going out the door) is one thing. This takes it to a whole new, and to me unhealthy, level.

    Just my opinion.
  • I think so too. At the same time I look at it and its so cool to look at, like a piece of art!
  • Bottom line for me is that I don't find the women to be attractive.
  • It kind of reminds me of the lolita style from Japan, have anyone seen the pictures of the teen and young adult girls in those adorable bonnets and frilly dresses?
  • I recommend all you beauty brains googling images of japanese lolitas, very interesting how our culture encourages sexy at a young age while the lolita fashion is modest and whimsical.
  • its a hate love thing for me, it is distrubing yet beautiful. But I am the kind of person who appreciates body modification and sub-cultural trends. Has anyone seen the bagel forhead trend in japan now that is kind of gross!
  • I have seen the bagel forehead trend bebelyn. And I had to wonder why on earth anyone would do it.....
  • No I havent!! I'll google it now though. I too appreciate sub culture beauty and body mods.
  • I dont think bagel heads look attractive. Its odd. I would much rather look like a doll than have a bagel head!
