Micro loop hair extensions. Specific products? Im Confused :s

    I have not long had micro loop hair extensions. Spent a lot of money on buying the best; mongolian, double drawn, custom blend colour, 100% remy, and cuticle intact hair. (phew that was a mouth full) The condition part i have no problem with, i always avoid the rings and keep my deep treatements for every other wash. The shampoo they sold me is labelled gentle but my scalp isnt feeling the love. It has become sore and irritated after using the shampoo. Every time i ask what other types of shampoo i can use they just refer back to their brand. please help!! i know i cant use silicones on the rings but there has got to be some other way of moisturising my scalp and hair. Please help! :)

    Isn't it just SLS that they say you need to avoid while having extentions in/having keratin treatment? just try any brand without SLS in it :)

    Ally.E, thanks for you comment.  I thought that until i read the ingredients on the bottle of the shampoo that they sold me and it has sls in it :( i thought after finally getting some info off another site that it may be to do with the conditioning of some shampoos but i dont want any of my bonds slipping as i paid $450 for them in the first place. im just confused :s

    hm... did some googling and it seems avoid too many silicones to make sure bonds don't slip, anything gentle will do. there was a post by a hair extension hairdresser and she even said herbal essence would be fine. I think it's a marketing ploy to get you to buy exclusive expensive shampoo
