Three Step Skincare Systems - (i.e. Proactiv, Clinique, etc...)
  • I recently purchased some odds and ends from Sephora, and with my purchase I received a sample of Clinique's three step skin care line for dry skin. I've had the worst time with dry skin on my face this season, and I've always had dandruffy eyebrows. I thought I might have psoriasis, but after I used this my skin was soft, it wasn't irritated, and all of my flakiness was gone. It was amazing. I loved it until I noticed the $65 price tag.

I'm not a talented ingredient scout, but I just can't imagine this line of products contains a slew of things that other product lines do not. Could you point me in the direction of more cost effective solutions? Or is Clinique really just that darn good?

    Any thoughts?
  • @RF: If you can provide a link to the exact products you used, I'll take a look at the ingredients for you.
  • I used the combination skintype 3 step system from Clinique and must say it's crap. Also read a lot of bad reviews and if you watch youtube videos, a lot of top gurus on there agree. I don't think it's worth it, you probably need better exfoliation and moisturising. Try glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid products and lipid cream. All of these things helped with my flaky skin.
  • i use the facial wash from johnson and it's pretty good it does't contain a soap so it's clear ur face and will make it smooth and non dry , i hope i help .
