Does MSM really make the Anogen phase last longer?

Is it true that by takeing MSM the anogen phase of the hair will last longer in turn causing longer hair?

After a quick search I can't find anything in the technical literature to indicate MSM increases the anagen phase of hair growth. I did find this article: http://www.msm-buy.com/articles/MSM_HairGrowth2009.pdf from a technical journal which talks about the combination of MSM and MAP increasing hair growth in mice.
