I bought the leave in Treseme split remedy I like it but it gets these little white circles all over my hands and in my hair that look kind of like dandruff is this supposed to happen or should I call the company and get a refund?
ok i cant seem to capture it but its this fine circles that get caught in the hair looking like dandruff, get left over on the hands and sometimes on the bottle of it too. anyone know whats going on? some kind of separation? is this supposed to happen?
Our daughter has dark hair and some products flake on her hair. It looks like dandruff, but she doesn't have dandruff. The only solution for her problem so far has been to avoid the products that flake.
Ive also tried shaking the bottle to no avail multiple times. They remind me of the little scrubby beads in body wash. My hair is light and the product does not flake these little plastic circles.
OK. I just checked with one of the chemists who worked on this product and found that there is no reason that these white particles should be appearing. I see that someone on the Tresemme website is complaining of a similar problem with the conditioner so perhaps the company has changed the way they make the product which is destabilizing the polyelectrolyte complex.
Your best option is to contact the company and ask for a refund or a replacement product.
If it is the polymer complex coming out of solution (i.e., creating little white circles or dots) then it won't be available to mend the ends of your hair like it should.
For about a year I have been occasionally using a split-end leave-in cream by Nexxus, and have had no problems like what you describe. It's more expensive than Tresemme, but I was lucky and found it on clearance.
