I agree with Rozy. Unfortunately Europe seems to be declining not just from an economical standpoint of view but now from the scientific point of view too. Not just the animal ban will prejudice science in EU but also lots of bureaucracy and taxes as well.
Thanks for the link there is this beauty blog called Phyrra it really annoys me because all these "cruelty free" beauty people act like they are doing real social activism just by buying "indie" and "cruelty free" cosmetics. Also there is this weird racist undertone like Asian people are more "savage" because their countries require animal testing they might as well just go on and say they think they are lesser. Nobody wants to test on animals! Certainly it needs to be conducted ethically no debate here its just I have not heard of any major innovation that is widely accessible and makes animal testing obsolete. There have been some things suggested but I have yet to see them become widespread. Do this people object to medical care too? Do they refuse to take prescription drugs? I just feel like these companies that market themselves are playing with peoples emotions, everyone likes bunnies but buying special cosmetics doesnt make you a saint. I myself am a rat lover and some blithe who hates animals just because I want to have cosmetics and personal care products that work. People should use their energy for real activism not this capitalistic sham disguising itself as one I find it elitist and annoying that you get labeled as an animal hater if you dont do things their way.
