Is crystal deodorant based on Ammonium Alum beneficial?

    I was wondering is the Ammonium Alum based crystal deodorant better than other alternatives based on aluminium chlorohydrate or others.

    You're comparing apples and oranges here: 

    Alum (in the mineral crystal product) is a DEODORANT that kills bacteria so your sweat doesn't smell so bad. It does NOT stop you from sweating. 

    Aluminium chlorohydrate (and other similar ingredients) is an ANTIPERSPIRANT that stops you from sweating so you stay dry and odor free.
