I don't think my discussion topic is grammatically correct...
Should it be "Of which product do you have too many"? Anyhoo....
I was thinking today, as I was applying lip balm from the tube I keep at my desk, "that it's a good thing I keep one at my desk, so I can just grab it and slick it on. But then, if I can't get to that, I have 3 in my purse. And if that's not nearby, I have 2 in my upstairs bathroom and 1 in my nightstand. And that's not counting the upopened ones I keep for when the opened ones run out. Which they may never do, because I have so many. Now that I'm thinking about things I have so many of, why do cosmetics in a pot fascinate me? I have eye shadows, blushes, lip balms (of course) and lip colors in pots. I may not like a shade of something in a palette or tube, but package it in a pot and by golly, I'll buy it!" (It was a slow day, so I had time to think about this.)
Too Funny divegirl! I have waaay to many tubes of hand cream...and how many of then do I use you ask? Absolutely none....because my hands get all the cream they need when I give the baby I nanny for his baby massage with Cetaphil...but I still for some reason think I need hand cream in the bathroom and in my purse. I also have a lot of lip balm...mine are tubes though.
I was just given my bathroom back after 3 months of not being able to use it due to a leak in pipes and when I looked inside there were 2 bottles of conditioner a bottle of shampoo, 2 face washes and 2 body washes...really Cate...REALLY?? Not to mention what I was using in the other shower.
But my personal demon is deodorant. I always buy deodorant. Sometimes I think I have forgotten to put it on and so Istop up in CVS at the end of the street and pick some up. I haven't in a while...but I am now down to about 4 from close to 10 or 12.
This is a great topic...it is making me see how much money I spend on toiletries...yikes!
Another vote for hand cream. Whenever I see one that looks good, I buy it whether I need it or not. The goal is to have hand cream everywhere you might need it but what happens is they all wind up on the sink in my bathroom and I still don't have any hand cream when I really need it. I've also got way too many body scrubs. I'm trying to use them up before I buy anymore in my quest for the perfect body scrub.
I also tend to buy the same color lipstick and eyeshadow over and over but I think everyone does that. I really outdo myself on nailpolish. Not only do I buy what I think is some great new color only to realize that it's virtually identical to 1/2 dozen other bottles that I already own, I sometimes by the exact same color. I must really like Revlon Cherry Crush because I've got 3 bottles of it. I finally started carrying a list of what I already have.
Oye, mine is eyeshadow. I have so many freakin' eyeshadows; it's ridiculous. In fact, I keep buying them and realizing I have colors at home just like them. I recently bought 3 Bare Minerals eye shadows, only to return two of them because they are almost the exact same colors as two MAC pigments I have. I actually just weeded out my makeup drawer a few months ago and threw away a bunch of stuff I didn't use anymore. However, I still have about 30 eyeshadows... if not more. Actually, it might be more like 40.
Probably body wash and body moisturizer. I impulse buy them when they are bundled in a budget pack...but I do use them pretty quickly so it is isn't a totally lame system.
blushes and bronzers.. i only have 2 cheeks, so i have no idea why i have so many blushes and bronzers!!
and lip gloss!! i can't help but buy them.. but i only have 1 mouth!!
-sigh...
Mine isn't an obsession for purchasing this product out of love. Mine is a journey for the perfect product; for the perfect anti frizz product. I have naturally wavy hair which I flat iron everyday, and as a result, I have a lot of breakage that's very noticeable, especially on the top of my head. And humidity can really mess with my style. I'm always trying to find the best product that's out there... and as a result... yeah. Way too many of those products under my sink!
I have too many powder bronzers and mascaras (I receive them as free gifts for buying stuff).
I want to go buy a liquid bronzer and my own brand of Mascara that isn't just a tiny sample tube, but I have to restrain myself and try to use what I have first.
Mine would be perfumes and lip balms. I can't seem to be satisfied with any aroma (note too high, note too low, note ok on body mist but not on the actual fragance and so on) and cant find a lip balm that would not leave my lips or too sticky or protected for 4 minutes. I have the never-moisturized lips syndrome. Im sad.
