My name is Donna and I live in Virginia, orignially (as of 4 years ago) from California. I miss all the independent beauty supply stores in CA that sold to consumers...I hate paying retail...which leads me to my question. Because of the economy I have been forced to cut back on everything including personal care products. So far I've switched to do-it-at-home hair color (actually looks as good if not better than my $100 salon job), switched to baby shampoo, and have done away with non essential hair conditioners, I have one last product that is burning a hole in my wallet. I currently pay about $30.00 for a 12 oz. tube of hair conditioner from a salon in California that makes their own products. I think I can duplicate this product with some degree of similarity. I have curly...okay frizzy hair that responds very well to this hair product so I don't want to try something else. It contains whole leaf aloe concentrate, water, glycerin, sorbitol, whole wheat protein, simethicone, extracts of: bamboo, wood mallow, ivy, parietary, cucumber, elder tree, arnica and rosemary & lavender oil & methylparaben (in that order).
I can find almost all the ingredients except the extracts. Are these necessary ingredients or fluff? And if they indeed add value to the product, does anyone know what company sells them?
