Companies that DON'T list their ingredients online
  • They have this new product called Light Reflecting Pressed Setting powder and they dont even have have the full ingredients list on their official website- this is what they call an ingredient list:

Reflecting D7Complex™ (Sea Water, Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract, Barium
Sulfate, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Aluminum, Iron Oxides): Transforms
light like a prism; optimizes light reflection on the skin.

Glycerin/Vitamin E Mineral Powder (Glycerin, Tocopherol, Silica):
Allows for targeted release on the skin; gives a soft-focus effect on
the skin; guards against dryness and leaves the skin feeling
    comfortable; offers antioxidant benefits.

If you are going to charge an arm and a leg for your average products with average packaging at least post the full ingredients. Stop assuming customers are stupid. This is becoming a pet peeve but I usually see this on unpopular products being sold on amazon or something. Does this kind of thing get on your nerves?

  • Great catch! This is really one of my pet peeves as well. I'm starting a collection of examples of companies that DON'T provide ingredient lists online. Leave a comment if you spot any others. Maybe we can start an online protest and get these companies to change their ways.
  • Here's another example of a company that doesn't provide any ingredient lists: Lab Series for Men. They make outrageous, pseudoscientific claims about their products too, like this one:

    MAX LS AGE-LESS FACE CREAM
Be Age-Less. Reclaim your younger looking skin. Powered by Sirtuin technology and the science of skin cell longevity, the Molecular Age-Less Complex in Max LS helps erase the signs of aging, in a highly advanced daily moisturizer.

Well, that tells me nothing. And without a list of ingredients, I would never consider buying this product.
  • Heres a product that has no ingredient list at all not even the "featured" ingredients like the Nars product. http://www.sephora.com/they-re-real-mascara-P289307
  • Aloxxi is another company that doesn't post ingredients.
  • Very helpful! Keep 'em coming.
  • This is the very opposite but this site explains a lot of their ingredients when you scroll over which I think more companies should do, its very helpful. http://www.lovelyskin.com/details.asp?PID=117498&MID=245&PG=1
  • Mary Kay doesn't have product ingredients listed on their website.  They are on the packaging, but not online or anywhere the public could easily view.  Only the sales reps can find the ingredients, and they have to log into some special part of their consultant site.  Shady.
  • Yeah, I've noticed that Mary Kay is really bad about this.
  • Cloverleaf? Wasn't that the movie about the giant monster that eats the Statue of Liberty?
  • AND THE TUNA BRAND :D
  • Yves Rocher Canada does this! Little bit surprised since I thought they were a big popular brand! http://www.yvesrocher.ca/control/main
  • Another gold star for Rozy.
  • :D Yeah! This makes me want to buy from them less because now being so used to looking at ingredients that is important to me. I have seen beauty blogger pics of their products and they do put ingredients on the packages but thats not good enough. How can I tell false claims from reality if they do not provide this? They seem to have constant sales and the prices are pretty attractive though. I might write them an email telling them its annoying!

  • I'm trying to look up ingredients for a Clinique product. Can't find ingredients anywhere on their website: http://www.clinique.com/product/1683/22695/Skincare/Eye_Lips/Even-Better-Eyes-Dark-Circle-Corrector/index.tmpl
  • Yeah the new proposed regs are a good idea. This is especially dangerous with sunblock I have seen online without an ingredients list since I get a painful burning reaction from octocrylene so I need to know if its in the formula or not.
  • Nope the official site doesnt have the ingredients of a sunscreen wow... no way to know if this will give me an extremely painful reaction that feels like I am being burned by fire or not.
  • Yes it does contain OCTOCRYLENE. I still have the outter box of this sunscreen. It's extremely light though.

When you guys can't find ingredient list on official site, try other sites like sephora, drugstore.com or even luckyvitamin. These sites are helpful when revealing the truth.
OR, more easily, look up on this site http://www.cosdna.com/ (but this handy tool has mistakes everywhere. Be sure to compare different posts on the same product.)
