Oils for Hair Treatment - absorption or coating?

I've been reading a lot about oil treatments for hair- hot oil treatments, home oil treatments, hair masques, but which oils will be effective? I've heard some oils "coat" the hair whereas others absorb into the shaft. Which ones? And will heating the oil really make any difference?

I have tried olive and jojoba oil on my hair but this argan oil satisfied me alot...i have alot of issues with my hairs and finally i got purad'or argan oil. i am using it regularly and for the first month i got positive results. You just dont worry about heating a oil just get argan oil it will solve your problems...

I agree with Right Brain on this one. I do sometimes use argan oil, but to scrunch out the crunch in my hair, not to deep condition. I use extra virgin coconut oil once a week before shampooing to deep condition. Best product I have ever found for that purpose!
