Can you make your own shampoo at home?

    S wants to know...
    It seems like all the products use the same ingredients so I was wondering  if a person couldn't make their own shampoo at home, using a milder soap and some conditioning ingredients?  Any ideas on this?

    Why would you want to when some very nice shampoos can be bought for such a reasonable price. It would probably cost you more to make your own, and probably wouldn't turn out as nice.

    I'm interested in this too - I'd really like to be able to control what I wash my hair with....
    I'm going to do some more research and I'll get back to you on this one when I know a bit more.
