I saw an interesting blog post about Sarah Palin's hair. This writer opined that if she wins, she'll definitely go with a shorter hair cut. It seems like a pretty good guess to me.
Remember when Hillary used to have long hair?
Do politics require short hair?
With any luck we won't have to worry about Sarah, her hair, her problems, or her politics after November. The woman scares the daylights out of me! And, NO, it is not sexist for women not to support her candidacy!
Hopefully never. I have never cut mine; I simply wear it up and it's quite professional.
I also have to say that I don't really care about her hair; it's the woman and her positions on various issues that matter most to me. I wish Hillary Clinton hadn't been put through the wringer over her headbands, to be honest. I wish women could just run without people micromanaging their hair, makeup, and clothing ...
That said, though ... If Palin wants to wear it long, more power to her. If she wants to cut it, more power to her. It's her hair. :-)
I'm soooo with you on hoping we never find out! Can you imagine her being president if something happened to McCain, which isn't too unlikely with his age and medical history. After only one day of vetting, there is so much not known about her, and I'm not impressed with what I do know about her. Her record does not support what she said she is for (or more to the point, what she is against.)
BBs... Sorry if I said too much on politics. I'll go back to cosmetics now. Love the new MAC shadows I got!
I am in agreement with Anne and Judy on the whole election part, however I think her hair looks really nice. She wears it up and it looks very prefessional...I have no problems with her hair. And in general women should wear their hair as they want...they should not feel pressured to cut it...unless they WANT to
Evidently, she's caused a run on Kawasaki 704 eyeglass frames and upswept hairstyles.

According to the article, "Her hair is a study in contrasts, carefree and "done" at the same time. The untidiness of her updo has a can-do spirit that says, "I have more important things to do than worry about my hair, so I just twirled it into this clip so I could get to the real business of governing and shooting caribou and having babies and taking them to hockey practice."
I hope she doesn't cut her hair because she feels like she has to. I think women have asserted the right to be taken seriously in all professions and still look feminine. Nancy Pelosi's hair isn't long but her overall style is very feminine and polished, and she doesn't have a problem being taken seriously but maybe that's becuase she's got that gavel.
That's so funny. My mom, who is in her 80's, said she didn't like Palin, but didn't know why. Then she said she realized she didn't like her because she looked like a bar maid.
I don't like her because she doesn't seem to know what the truth is. She said she is against the "bridge to no where" but her '06 campaign for governor was based on being for it. She may have turned down the bridge, but she still took the money. As far as being against pork barrel, she applied for 197 mil in pork barrel last year. More per ca pita than anyone else. She did not sell the jet on e bay. She tried 3 times, but it didn't sell, so a broker sold it (at a loss). Also the chef she fired...she wasn't really fired. she still cooks for Palin. Thats why I don't like her.
It's not the hair I'm thinking of so much -- I'm wondering when we'll see "Pitbull Pink" lipstick. :-)
There's a company out east that made a color blend for Hillary Clinton called "Debate." It was supposedly a color they made specially for her for one of the debates. I don't know if they're still selling it, though.
Good lord. The only thing I recall very clearly was the ridiculous brouhaha about her headbands, and how, when she was asked to give a piece of advice to women seeking office, she said -- very tongue-in-cheek, mind you -- "Pay attention to your hair. Because everyone else sure will." :_)
I think Sarah Palin has great hair. I find myself staring at it and her makeup a lot. The styling strikes me as a bit old fashioned yet somehow sophisticated on her at the same time. She seems to look great in every photo out there. My guess is that she's one of those women who knows how to pull herself together without as much prep time as we might think. My guess is that her hair will stay the same length.
As for Hillary's hair, I remember seeing her as a guest on Oprah with her BF within the last few years. At one point, she complained about how hard her hair was to work with because it's so thick. Maybe that's related to why she wears it shorter than she used to back in the 90s. For the record, I have to say that I like headbands! (although I never wear them in public...LOL)
And being the political junkie that I am, I'm staying WAY clear of the political discussion going on here...
