I'm interested in getting laser hair removal for my widow's peak. Has anyone done this?
I really wanna get it done but I'm afraid my hairline will look wierd.....not natural.
Shaving it doesn't work because I have thick black hair.
Will laser hair removal remove it for good or will it grow back?
I really wanna be able to put my hair back in a ponytail without having to carefully hide my widow's peak all the time!
Some people look fine with a widow's peak and they like it, but I just think I look so wierd with it.
Thanks for your help.
I don't know if laser removal would remove it completely and permanently. Electrolosis would probably do a better job of getting rid of it once and for all. What about waxing or plucking? It's not permanent but both are easy, cheap and effective for small areas.
My son has a widow's peak and hates it too. When his hair is really short, which it usually is, it stands straight up and he looks just like Eddie Munster.
What about getting bangs to cover up the widow's peak? I have a very slight widow's peak that you can't really tell it's there due to a huge abundance of baby hair. Then I got bangs, and it covers it completely (and camouflages my baby hair). It's not a permanently solution by any means, but did you know having a widow's peak is genetic? So why alter what your mama or daddy gave ya?
Taiwanesegurl, the tendency to develop acne can be inherited from parents.....my dad had bad acne which is likely why I had severe acne for 9 years. Just because my dad "gave" me acne, doesn't mean I want to keep my acne. The same goes with my widow's peak...just because my parents gave it to me doesn't mean I should keep it.
This is why we dye our hair, get perms or permanently straighten our hair..because we have the choice to change what our parents gave us.
